I'm Anna Thompson, an ABO Certified Dispensing Optician with more than a decade of experience in the optical industry. While studying film and media in college, I took a summer job in an optical laboratory that completely changed my career path. I quickly discovered that I loved the combination of precision, problem solving, and helping people see their best.

That passion led me to pursue a career in optics, where I trained alongside experienced opticians, worked in optical laboratories, and gained hands-on experience helping patients with everything from everyday prescriptions to more complex vision needs.

After working in Arkansas, Illinois and Oregon, I eventually made East Texas home. When I opened Express Eyewear, my goal wasn't simply to sell glasses, it was to create the kind of optical shop I would want my own family to visit. A place where people receive honest recommendations, expert guidance, and personalized service without feeling rushed or pressured.
